Welcome to Your Safety Link Blog

Welcome

Blogging is new for me! I am excited about using this tool as a way to communicate the importance of wearing your medical alert link bracelet and managing your own medical information for your safety and the ones you love. The bracelet I have designed and promote is the first of it's kind. You can easily remove and add an alert link so that you can personalize your medical information for the 1st responder at the time of an emergency or help inform others of your medical conditions when you may be cared for by a care provider or when you may be out on your own and are unable to communicate for yourself your personal limitations and medical needs. I designed this bracelet to be wearable and affordable. The only way a medical alert bracelet is going provide you safety is if it's on your arm.

After extensive research I discovered that the main reasons people don't have or wear a medical alert bracelet is that they are ugly, difficult to get on and off and too expensive. The medical alert link bracelet is affordable, comfortable, attractive and changeable. This bracelet has been designed with the wearers needs in mind. The links are easily added and removed for sizing. Children will receive their bracelet with additional links so that they can be added as the child grows. All the links are made of hypoallergenic stainless steel and are safe for those with metal allergies.

The cost of the bracelet is $20.00 which includes the colored caduceus (medical alert symbol) and links to fit your wrist. For ordering you will need to know your wrist size.

The cost of the Alert Links are $10.00 each. You would want to add a link for any critical medical condition needed during a time of an emergency or if someone is to care for you. You may also want links for Medications and Life threatening allergies.

Some examples of critical links are Diabetic 1, Diabetic 2, Heart Patient, Stents, Pacemaker, High Blood Pressure, A-Fib, Stroke Patient, Heart Values,COPD, Lymphedema, Dialysis, Insulin, Coumadin, No MRI, Allergic to Penicillin, Morphine, Sulfa, Bees, Peanuts.

The reason many people hesitate about getting a medical alert link bracelet is that are confused or overwhelmed about what they should include on their bracelet and then do nothing. Please act on your need for safety! Get the bracelet for $20.00 and then add those links that are critical for your care. Take the bracelet to your care provider and ask them what other links they would recommend. You can then add these links as you can afford them or need them. Please remember how important it is to wear your alert and with this bracelet you can add links unlike any other bracelet that requires a one time engraving of your information. This bracelet is cost effective! You can remove a link, add a link and make this bracelet yours for your safety.

In addition to the Alert Links you can add a Custom Link for $12.00
For example if your Child has life threatening allergies you may want a Custom Link... Call Mom with your cell number. For your elderly mother or father you may want to add your name and phone number so that you will be called if there is an emergency. For someone with Memory Impairment you may want to put your name and number for others to assist your loved one and help those impaired with important contact information. You can add a custom link with a name and date of birth. I wear my bracelet with my name and date of birth so that if I am in an accident they will know who I am.

IMPORTANT!!!! Please do not assume that because you carry your medical information in your purse or wallet that they will find it! First of all during the first 3-5 minutes of any emergency when your information is critical for them to have they will NOT be looking in your wallet or purse. Secondly because of liability issues 1st responders can not go into you purse or wallet without following a protocol for the safety of your information and possessions. You can add a link on your bracelet that says "See Wallet Card" but don't rely on this for your critical information. You must provide any information that would be critical for your care during the first 3-5 min of an emergency.
